Get-Med Solutions served as the Medic Team for Africa Oil Week (AOW) 2025

Africa Oil Week 2025 in Accra marked Get-Med Solutions Limited's first appointment as the official medic team for the continent's leading energy conference. The brief was clear: keep several thousand delegates, exhibitors and staff safe across multiple days, halls and side events, with no gaps in cover.

We deployed a mixed team of emergency-trained nurses, paramedics and a supervising clinician, working in shifts from the first exhibitor set-up to the final evening function. A central medic point handled consultations and screening, while roving medics covered the exhibition floor so that assistance never sat more than a short walk away from any stand.

Typical presentations at an event of this size are heat-related fatigue, dehydration, hypertension picked up during screening, minor injuries and pre-existing conditions that flare up during long travel and long days. Each case was assessed, treated on site where appropriate, and escalated to a partner hospital where it was not — with our team coordinating transport and handover.

Working alongside the venue's emergency and safety officers, we agreed escalation routes, ambulance access points and communication protocols in advance, and tested them before the conference opened. International delegates in particular valued having clinicians who could explain the local care pathway and arrange onward treatment quickly.

The professionalism and responsiveness shown in 2025 led directly to Get-Med Solutions being invited back as the medic team for AOW 2026 — and continues to shape how we design medical cover for conferences, festivals and corporate events across Ghana.
